Randy Smith started Stonart in 1980 with a truck, a wheelbarrow, and a contract to pour a driveway. Tucson was growing fast — new subdivisions, commercial centers, and the kind of hardscape projects that required someone who understood the desert soil, the summer monsoons, and the brutal thermal swings that crack inferior concrete within years.

Over four decades, Stonart grew into one of Tucson's most respected concrete and masonry contractors — not through advertising, but through word of mouth. Clients write about Randy by name. They refer neighbors. They call back when they build a second home or expand a driveway. That kind of loyalty doesn't come from a slick pitch; it comes from showing up at dawn and not leaving until the work is right.

Randy still walks every job personally. He still meets clients on site. He still sets the standard for the crew. And he still won't sign off on a project until the client is "110% satisfied" — his words, and he means them.
