Randy Smith started Stonart in 1980 with a truck and a wheelbarrow. Tucson's alkaline caliche soil, extreme summer heat, and freeze-thaw winters are unforgiving to poured concrete — and Randy has spent four decades learning exactly how to work with them, not against them.
Today Stonart's crew handles everything from plain and decorative concrete driveways to exposed aggregate, brick pavers, masonry retaining walls, flagstone patios, and stone veneer facades. Every project — residential or commercial, a backyard slab or a shopping center plaza — gets the same hands-on attention.

What We Build
● Concrete Driveways
Standard broom-finish driveways, smooth slabs, colored concrete, and stamped patterns — poured to spec for Tucson's soil and climate.
● Exposed Aggregate
Desert rock, quartz, or river pebble surface — naturally slip-resistant and heat-tolerant. One of Tucson's most popular driveway finishes.
● Masonry
Block walls, retaining walls, brick garden walls, and entry columns — laid course by course. Structural and decorative masonry for residential and commercial sites.
● Stone Work
Natural flagstone patios, walkways, and pool decks — plus dry-stack and mortared stone veneer for façades, planters, and accent walls.
